Cooking Paella at the Kidwell's
Well Cliff is.... he may not help me with things related to Sarah Kidwell Photography, like editing photos and packaging products, but he does do 90% of the cooking. This is SUCH a help to me so I can focus on business related matters. Plus, we're not stuck eating bean and cheese burritos for every meal, my cooking specialty. One of the dishes he cooks once the weather heats up is Paella.
Paella is a Spanish dish that can include a variety of seafood and meats, veggies, rice and seasonings. Everything is cooked in the same skillet and according to Cliff, that's what Paella means- one skillet. He uses a mixture of chicken, chorizo and shrimp in his. What makes this dish different is that saffron spice is used. Here's a link to the recipe that Cliff uses for his, enjoy!
The dogs are always super interested whenever anything is on the grill.
He cooks all the meat first....
After the rice and veggies have been added...
After the broth and canned tomatoes were added.. plus Cliff, the grill master!
The finished product!
Beer and paella go together!
