Chicago Part 2
First all, I hope the photos really show the amount of people there and the experience that we had at Lollapalooza. It was crazy, crowded, but so much fun! I've been to lots of concerts but never like this. The festival started on Friday, where we started roaming between the SIX stages that took up the ENTIRE Grant Park. Highlights of the festival include seeing Interpol, Lorde, Artic Monkeys, Outkast, Foster the People and Fitz and the Tantrums!
We started that first day roaming stage to stage, seeing bands like Hozier and Bombay Bicycle Club then settled into one of the main stages for Interpol, Lorde then Arctic Monkeys (one of the bands I was really excited about seeing!).
And this was just a portion of the people there....
I am a huge Foster the People fan and they put on an AWESOME show!
Day 3 was time to fit in all the Lolla photos that we hadn't taken yet! Plus get Merch....
Day 3 started out cloudy then turned into a rainy, muddy mess but that's all part of the experience!
I wasn't a huge Cage fan before this show but I've never seen a bad put on a crazier show. The lead singer started out with a white shirt and white pants and by the end of the show, his shirt was gone, he was crowdsurfing and was covered in mud. He had so much energy and was so entertaining to watch. They got the whole crowd excited!
The rain finally stopped right before Kings of Leon came on but we were still standing in puddles.
Overall, such a great experience and one that I want to do next year again!
We made sure to take another day to explore Chicago before heading back to Wichita- and getting some Sprinkles cupcakes!
